Sereno Village
AHA in partnership with Citizens Housing of San Francisco
has completed the developed Sereno Village a 125 unit deeply
affordable rental apartment complex Sereno Drive in Vellejo.
The residents of Sereno Village are moving in this fall.
Childcare
AHA and Citizens are working to complete a childcare
center at Sereno Village in partnership with Vellejo City
Unified School District. We hope to have the center
operational by October 2003. We are still in need of
additional operating funds.
Hearthstone Village
In partnership with Burbank Housing Development
Corporation of Sonoma County AHA has the 12 home Hearthstone
Village subdivision under construction.
This project is a self-help construction project where the
families work doing sweat equity and earning a down payment
for their labor. We hope to complete the homes by July of
2004.
We are looking for individuals and organizations that want to
assist in the construction. Please contact AHA if you are
interested in helping with this project.
South Solano Family
Emergency Shelter
In coalition with local community activists AHA is
organizing an effort to bring together a new organization that
would build, own and manage an emergency family shelter in
Vallejo by the winter of 2005. |
